There is something wonderful about looking down over the world at 3000 feet, the only discernable noise being combine harvesters beneath you and the breeze in the cables.  I recommend hot air ballooning to anyone who isn't enjoying life - you will afterwards ( Read more... )

• When you are mindful of the time, you are as late as you think you are.
• I still have a wonderful wife.
• Reading her card in bed just after midnight by improvised light is romantic.
• Tesco's is the place to go if you buy cakes for the office.

...being too hot to sleep sucks...
...getting a new mobile phone is infinitely preferable to decommissioning a server and migrating two gigabytes of database...
